I was actually advised not to go to Winter Wonderland during the weekend, as it would be way too crowded, but I must say it was not so bad after all. It really surprised me how many rides and stalls were from Germany. Most of them did not even translate their video walls and inscriptions, I wonder who they think should actually read it then? ๐Ÿ˜‰

This guy formed part of the Bavarian village. I give it a wide berth. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am from the North of Germany, and after living in Bavaria for almost three years I have definitely had enough of it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

On the way back, I came along Buckingham Palace. I think it is much more impressive and “photo-worthy” when it is dark.

  1. Maybe the Royals? They are German descendants after all, House of Battenberg, Mountbatten? Or maybe nobody reads anything anymore. It is beautiful without any words.

    • Oh interesting, I didn’t know about the royals’ background. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Prince Albert was German. He was the husband of queen Victoria. Both Queen Elisabeth and her husband are direct descendents. Yes, they are cousins.
